| First meeting of the SINFPA Communications and Marketing Special Interest Group |

I am happy to invite you to attend the first meeting of the Staten Island NFP Association's Communications and Marketing Special Interest Group, which will be held on June 22nd from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the offices of Eden II Programs, 150 Granite Avenue. This newest Special Interest Group is designed to offer a forum for those with responsibility for dealing with media representatives and for marketing their organizations to interact with their colleagues and to learn about best practices in this field from peers and experts alike. At our first meeting of the group we will be joined by Kathryn Carse of the Staten Island Advance, who will join in our discussion about the best ways in which to interact with local media outlets and will share with us some of her ideas about how not-for-profits can have better success in promoting the great work in which they are engaged. Attendance at this event is appropriate for anyone at your organization who holds responsibility for interacting with media representatives, drafting press releases, or generally promoting the great work in which you are engaged.
